Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi reached his parliamentary constituency Raebareli on Tuesday. During this, Rahul Gandhi met the family of martyr Captain Anshuman Singh and consoled them. He assured them of all possible help. Anshuman Singh’s mother Manju Singh said that Agniveer Yojana is not right. Everyone should get respect in the army. Manju said that she is getting support from both the ruling party and the opposition. The government is doing good work. But there is a need to do better work. As soon as he reached his parliamentary constituency, Rahul Gandhi met people from every section. Rahul Gandhi talked to doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs and representatives of social organizations. He listened to their problems and assured them of a solution. After this, Rahul Gandhi will go to Shaheed Smarak to plant a sapling. Apart from this, he can also go to Lalganj.
It is worth noting that during the discussion on the President’s address in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi had raised the issue of Agniveer Yojana. He had also called it an insult to the soldiers. Rahul Gandhi had compared the Agniveer Yojana to contract labour. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had opposed it in the Parliament itself. There was a lot of uproar later on.
