Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet was launched on Wednesday. It claims to come with 50 percent more RAM, better performance, better cameras and up to 13 hours of battery life compared to the previous generation model. Amazon’s new lineup includes three models – Fire HD 8, Fire HD 8 Kids and Fire HD 8 Kids Pro tablets. As the name suggests, both of the latter models focus on kids. The e-commerce giant says that customers can save up to 50 percent under its introductory price.

Amazon Fire HD 8 Tablet Series Price

The price of Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet starts at $54.99 (about Rs 4,600) for the 32GB storage model. Its 64GB storage option has been launched for $84.99 (about Rs 7,150). However, Amazon says that this is only the introductory price, which is valid till October 9, after which the price of both models will be revised to $99.99 and $129.99 respectively. The tablet is available in Black, Emerald and Hibiscus color options.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet is equipped with an 8-inch HD display. It comes with up to 4GB of RAM, which is 50 percent more than its previous generation tablet model. It has up to 64GB of in-built storage. The tablet runs on a hexa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. In this, the storage can be increased up to 1TB through microSD card. The tablet has a 5-megapixel front selfie camera.

The new Amazon tablet promises up to 13 hours of battery life on a full charge. The Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet also has generative AI features. A writing assistant is available in it, which can help in refining the message. It is said that this AI feature works with any app like email, Microsoft Word documents and even social media. The tablet also brings new customization options with a new wallpaper creator.
