Android 16 launch date tipped for June 2025

Google’s new OS Android 16 will be launched next year. A report claims that it may come earlier than the rest of the OS. According to reports, new Android versions usually arrive in the third or fourth quarter of the year. At the same time, Android 16 can be brought in the second quarter of next year. One of Android Headlines Report It has been said that Android 16 will be launched on June 3, 2025. It is possible that it will start with the Open Source Project (AOSP) and over-the-air (OTA) updates will be started for Google’s Pixel devices.

If this happens, Android 15 will have very little time. Till now most of the smartphones are being launched with Android 14 OS. Devices with Android 15 have now started arriving in China, which include premium smartphones. If Android 16 is introduced in June 2025, then more smartphone manufacturers will have to switch to it. Google itself also wants more and more Android smartphones to run on the latest version 16.

However, information about what features it will have has not been revealed. Android 16 is expected to be brought to the Pixel 10 series smartphones first. This smartphone series may arrive in August next year. Google has not yet confirmed the launch date of Android 16. It is expected that more details will be revealed in this regard in the next few months.

In other Google-related news, the company may launch its next mid-range smartphone Google Pixel 9a in early 2025. It has been revealed that the upcoming smartphone will come with a significant camera upgrade. In Pixel 9a, the 64-megapixel primary camera of the previous model Pixel 8a can be removed and a new primary sensor can be given. It is likely to retain the 13-megapixel selfie snapper of the previous model.

Pixel 9a may have a 48-megapixel primary camera. While this could be a downgrade from the 64-megapixel primary shooter available on the Pixel 7a and Pixel 8a, the primary camera on the Pixel 9a could be the same as the 48-megapixel shooter on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The new primary camera with a larger aperture delivers better-looking photos despite the lower resolution.
