Cyclone Alert, Weather Update: There has been heavy rain in Gujarat and surrounding areas for the last few days. The Meteorological Department has said on Thursday that the deep pressure area formed over Saurashtra and Kutch may turn into a cyclonic storm over the eastern Arabian Sea on August 30. At the same time, very heavy rains in Saurashtra and Kutch areas will continue on August 29 and it will decrease from tomorrow. A low pressure area is forming in the northern Bay of Bengal. Due to this, Odisha, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, northern coastal Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Telangana are going to receive very heavy rains during two to three days. Apart from this, there is also an alert for UP that there is going to be heavy rain in eastern UP on September 1 and 2 and in western UP on September 2.
According to the Meteorological Department, the rain will continue in western and central India for the next one week. Out of this, Saurashtra and Kutch will receive heavy rains on August 30, Chhattisgarh on August 31, Vidarbha on August 31 and September 1, Gujarat on September 2 and 3, and the Ghat areas of Central Maharashtra between September 2 and 4. On the other hand, Konkan, Goa will receive heavy rains from August 29 to September 1, Chhattisgarh on August 29, 30 and September 1, Vidarbha on August 30 and September 2, eastern Madhya Pradesh on September 31-4, Madhya Maharashtra on August 31 and September 1, Gujarat on August 31, September 1 and 4, western Madhya Pradesh on September 1 and 4, Marathwada on September 1 and 3, Saurashtra and Kutch will receive heavy rains between September 2 and 3.
Talking about the states of eastern and northeastern India, rain will continue in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar and Jharkhand. Odisha will receive very heavy rains till August 30. Apart from this, there is an alert of heavy rains in Assam, Meghalaya on August 29 and then from September 1 to 4, in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura for the next seven days. Heavy rains will continue in Arunachal Pradesh from September 2 to 4, in Odisha on September 1.
Talking about South India, heavy rains are going to occur in coastal Karnataka on August 30, Kerala, Mahe, South Interior Karnataka on August 29 and 30, coastal Karnataka on August 29, 31, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam on August 30 and 31. Regarding North India, the Meteorological Department says that the rain will continue in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Western Rajasthan, UP. Out of this, heavy rains will occur in Punjab on August 29, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi on August 29 and September 2, Uttarakhand from August 29 to September 2, Eastern Uttar Pradesh on September 1 and 2, Western Uttar Pradesh on September 2, Western Rajasthan on September 2 and 3, Eastern Rajasthan on September 1, 3 and 4.
