Apple has revealed the year’s most downloaded apps and games across Apple iPhone, iPad and Apple Arcade before the end of 2024, charting for over 30 countries including India. Popular instant messaging platform WhatsApp is at the forefront among the top free apps. Meanwhile, Forest: Focus for Productivity is at the top among the most downloaded paid apps. Apple’s Accordingthe 2024 year end chart of the top Apple Arcade games, as well as the year’s top free and paid apps and games, can be found on the App Store’s Today tab. After WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube and Google Pay have been the most downloaded free iPhone apps in 2024. In the paid app chart, Money Manager is at second place, DSLR Camera is at third place, Shadowrocket is at fourth place and iTablaPro is at fifth place.

In terms of gaming, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was the most downloaded free game on iPhone. After that Ludo King and Subway Surfers made their place in the top 3. Minecraft was the most downloaded among the top paid games. Earn to Die 2 and Hitman Sniper took the second and third place in the top 3 paid iPhone games.

The Cupertino-based technology giant has also released a list of top games on Apple Arcade, a monthly subscription that provides access to a number of games without ads or in-app purchases. Getting Over It+ was the most downloaded Apple Arcade game of 2024 on iPhone, followed by NBA 2K24 Arcade Edition, Snake.io+, Asphalt 8: Airborne+, and Angry Birds Reloaded.
