Apple Planning to Hire 400 Employees for New Retail Stores in Delhi-NCR and Other Cities

American devices maker Apple plans to increase its retail stores in the country. The company’s stores opened last year in Select Citywalk in Saket, Delhi and Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai have received good response. Apple is preparing to open new stores in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Pune.

According to a media report, Apple has listed many jobs on its website in the country. These include full-time and part-time jobs. The company is expected to hire approximately 400 employees. The report quoted a person with knowledge of the company’s plans as saying, “Apple’s part-time jobs are for new graduates who want work experience in a big company. These graduates can work in the company’s stores.” Can work in different shifts.” The revenue of Apple’s stores in the country in the first year of sales was approximately Rs 800 crore. In this, the share of Delhi’s Saket store is 60 percent.

In the last few years, Apple has also taken steps to shift some part of its manufacturing to China. The company has partnered with contract manufacturers like Foxconn and Wistron for manufacturing iPhones in India. Apple’s new iPhone 16 series Pro models are also being manufactured in the country.

The company is receiving strong demand for the iPhone 16 series. In the first three weeks of the start of sale of these smartphones in China, the sales have increased by about 20 percent compared to the iPhone 15 series introduced last year. Last month the company launched the iPhone 16 series. According to data provided to Bloomberg by market research firm Counterpoint, sales of iPhone 16 series smartphones are better than the company’s previous series. However, customers are liking the Pro and Pro Max models of this series more. Sales of premium models of this series have increased by about 44 percent as compared to similar models of iPhone 15 series. However, the company is facing tough competition from Huawei in the Chinese market.
