ASUS is set to launch the ASUS ROG Ally X handheld gaming console in China on July 13. This was revealed by an official statement from ASUS’ upcoming product launch event. The ROG Ally X was introduced in the global market in June, featuring AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme CPU with 80Wh battery capacity. The gaming handheld comes with several changes compared to its previous version. Its memory capacity is 24GB and its solid-state drive slot is the M.2 2280 model. It has double the battery capacity compared to its previous version, while the hard drive capacity has doubled to 1TB. The memory was also upgraded to 24GB LPDDR5X-7500. The new ASUS handheld game console has a joystick module that has a life of 5 million times, up from 2 million times. The spring feel is slightly tighter and can be easily replaced. The D-pad cross-key design provides more feedback clarity than before.

The ASUS ROG Handheld X has two Type-C interfaces on the top. One of the USB-C ports supports USB4 while the other is rated USB 3.2 Generation 2. Both USB-C interfaces support PD 3.0 charging and DisplayPort 1.4 connection support. The ROG Handheld X has an upgraded zero-gravity cooling system that has a heat dissipation capacity of up to 30W. The fan size of the heat dissipation system has been reduced while the air volume has increased.
