Being a Hindu is our biggest crime; A flood affected youth in Bangladesh expressed his pain, Yunus got angry at the government

The protests that started against the quota system for government jobs in Bangladesh have become a nightmare for the Hindu community. After looting and attacks, now a new problem has arisen in front of the minority community. Meanwhile, many districts of Bangladesh have been badly affected by floods. Due to which relief work is going on under the leadership of the army, local police and various organizations. A Hindu youth alleges that the interim government is allegedly neglecting the minorities trapped in the flood-affected areas. The video on social media has brought the alleged bias of the administration into the limelight.

In a video going viral on social media, a man from the Hindu community in Cheoria of Tulabaria in Ward No. 8 of Kalidah Union in Feni district of Bangladesh is seen angry after being ignored by the administration during relief distribution. According to India Today, the flood-affected man is shouting, “We have not received a single person for relief. Our only crime is that we are Hindus. People in Noakhali and Barisal are receiving aid, but when they see us, they turn away. We do not belong to any political party, but our only crime is that we are Hindus.”

Many members of the Hindu community said they have received reports from many areas where Hindus are not receiving help during the devastating floods. Instead, temples like Scorn and many others are providing shelter to Hindu families and distributing relief materials in the affected areas. Local Hindus from various districts of Bangladesh reported that various community organizations are actively participating in rescue and relief operations and distributing relief materials using boats and other means.

It is worth noting that heavy monsoon rains have caused floods in the delta areas of Bangladesh and some areas of India. Due to this, many people have died in Bangladesh and more than 40 lakh people have been affected. Providing relief to the people has become a big challenge for the new interim government of Bangladesh.
