The US President’s statement has come on the death of Hezbollah chief killed in Israeli air strike in Beirut. Biden has supported Israel’s bombing of Beirut. In a statement issued by the White House, Biden said that Hassan Nasrallah and his organization Hezbollah have together killed thousands of Americans. His death in Israeli air strikes serves as a measure of justice for the thousands of victims he persecuted. The victims of Hezbollah and Hassan Nasrallah include not only Americans but also Israeli and Lebanese citizens. His death is justice for all of them.

The US President said in his statement that this entire incident started from October 7 last year. Hamas’s massacre inside Israel was a horrific terrorist incident. After that incident, when Israel attacked Hamas, Nasrallah joined hands with Hamas and started attacking Israel. This was the most fatal mistake for Hezbollah. His strategy of luring Israel into a two-sided war backfired on him.

Nasrallah’s death was confirmed by Hezbollah on Saturday evening, after which this statement was issued by President Biden. The US President also reiterated his support for Israel in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. He said the United States fully supports Israel’s right to defend itself against Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthi or any other Iran-backed terrorist groups.

Biden said that we have signed a defense agreement worth $8.7 billion with Israel. We will continue to help Israel. We want peace in the region, but due to the continuous terrorist incidents against Israel, all the efforts made for peace in the region prove to be futile. He said that our aim is to reduce the ongoing conflicts in both Gaza and Lebanon through diplomatic means. In Gaza, we are working on an agreement supported by the UN Security Council for a ceasefire and the release of hostages. In Lebanon, we are negotiating an agreement that will return people safely to their homes in Israel and southern Lebanon.

Missiles were being continuously used by Hezbollah from Lebanon on Israel which was fighting in Gaza to eliminate Hamas. Last week, Israel issued a message to the Lebanese people saying that Hezbollah is attacking us from your homes, we have no enmity with you but we have to destroy the launch pads of Hezbollah. Therefore, all common citizens should move to safe places. After this warning, Israel bombed Lebanon for two consecutive days; about 500 people were killed in these attacks. About 37 people were killed in the blasts involving communication devices in Lebanon, for which Israel was also blamed.

Netanyahu, who arrived in America before attacking Hezbollah’s headquarters in Beirut, warned Iran at the UN General Assembly that if anyone attacks us, its retaliation will be such that it will be remembered for years. He accused Hezbollah of attacking and saying that it had turned an area of Israel into a ghost town. He continuously attacks us with rockets and missiles. According to media reports, Netanyahu, who reached the hotel after his address, gave his approval to the attack on Nasrallah.
