BJP releases first list of 44 candidates for Jammu and Kashmir elections

BJP has released the first list of 44 candidates for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. This decision has been taken after the Central Election Committee meeting which went on till late Sunday night. Apart from PM Narendra Modi, party president JP Nadda, many senior leaders and many senior leaders of Jammu and Kashmir BJP were also present in this meeting. This list of BJP includes the names of candidates for the seats coming in all three phases. Voting is to be held in three phases in Jammu and Kashmir, the first round of which will be on 18 September. After this, the second phase of voting will be held on 23 September and then the third round on 1 October. Former Deputy CM Nirmal Singh has not got a chance in this list of BJP. It is believed that he will probably be given a place in the next list.

Prominent names in BJP’s list are Arshid Bhat from Rajpora. Javed Ahmed Qadri from Shopian and Mohammad Rafiq Wani from Anantnag West have been given a chance. Advocate Syed Wajahat has got the ticket from Anantnag seat. Shagun Parihar has been given a chance from Kishtwar seat. Gajay Singh Rana will be BJP’s candidate from Doda assembly constituency. Syed Shaukat Gayur Andrabi has got a ticket from BJP from Pampore assembly constituency. Sofi Yusuf will be BJP’s candidate from Bijbehara seat. Mehbooba Mufti has been contesting elections from this seat. This time there are preparations to field her daughter from PDP.
