A car traveling on the road fell into a dry canal in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. When the villagers came out of their houses in the morning, they saw that a white car had fallen in a dry canal. People immediately informed the police. The car was taken out with the help of a crane. There were three people in the car who were immediately taken to the hospital. It is fortunate that none of the three youths were seriously injured and the condition of all three is said to be normal.

NDTV’s Report According to police officials, a four-wheeler was going from Bareilly towards Pilibhit. Near Kalapur village, car riders noticed that a shortcut was being shown on Google Map. Taking that shortcut, they went through the canal and the car landed in the canal. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and loss of life was saved.

The car was moving as per the instructions given by Google Maps. But while walking, she turned into a dry canal of Kalapur. The place where the accident happened was a dry canal, there was no water inside the canal. Had there been water, perhaps the three youths could have lost their lives. Villagers told that the incident happened around 6 in the morning and there was dense fog at that time.

This is the second incident in a few days when such an accident has occurred due to the use of Google Maps. A similar incident had happened on November 24 also. Google Maps became the cause of a major accident in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, the front portion of a bridge over the river was washed away due to the flood. But the three car riders who were traveling relying on Google Maps did not know that the bridge was broken. Therefore, the car running on the bridge at high speed fell straight into the river. All three people died on the spot.
