IMD Rainfall Alert: Heavy rains are occurring in many states across the country including Gujarat these days. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has said on Sunday that due to pressure on South Odisha and adjoining South Chhattisgarh and North Andhra Pradesh, very heavy rains are likely in Telangana, Vidarbha and Marathwada during the next 24 hours. Apart from this, there may be torrential rains in coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Chhattisgarh, Rayalaseema, Madhya Maharashtra, West Central and North Interior Karnataka in the next 24 hours. In such a situation, people need to be careful. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has also given a new update regarding Cyclone Asna and said that Cyclone Asna has moved away from the Indian coast and is located over the northwestern Arabian Sea.
Weather condition of southern states
According to the Meteorological Department, rain is going to continue for a week in states like Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu. Out of this, Telangana will receive very heavy rains on September 1. At the same time, heavy rains are going to occur in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam from September 1 to 5, Rayalaseema, Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka on September 1. Heavy rains will be seen in Kerala and Mahe from September 1 to 4.
Weather of Western and Central India
Very heavy rains may occur in Marathwada on September 1 and Vidarbha on September 1 and 2. Gujarat will receive very heavy rains on September 2 and 3, Saurashtra and Kutch on September 3, Madhya Maharashtra on September 1, Vidarbha on September 1 and 2, Marathwada on September 1 and 2, West Madhya Pradesh on September 1 and 2, Chhattisgarh on September 1.
