Chaos over the murder of a history-sheeter in Jalaun, he was chopped with an axe, the accused’s house and vehicle were set on fire

In Jalaun, history-sheeter Dev Singh Parihar was hacked to death with an axe by Krishna Pal of the same village near the government school on Thursday evening. As soon as the incident was reported, the family members of the history-sheeter raided the house of the accused and set it on fire. Some vehicles parked outside the house were also set on fire. On receiving information about the ruckus in the village, the force of several police stations including CO Konch reached there. After a lot of effort, the police controlled the situation. The body of the history-sheeter has been sent for post-mortem and the search is on for the absconding accused. The incident took place in village Chamari located in At police station area.

62-year-old Dev Singh Parihar was an old history-sheeter. He was named in many cases and serious sections. While returning home from the fields on Thursday evening, Krishna Pal Singh Patel attacked him with an axe from behind near the school. He died on the spot. He fled after throwing the axe at the spot. Meanwhile, on getting information about the incident, Dev Singh’s family members attacked Krishna Pal’s house. They set the house on fire.

Several vehicles parked outside the house were also set on fire. There was panic in the village. In a short while, CO Konch Archana Singh reached the village with a heavy police force. Seeing the tension in the village, forces from nearby police stations also arrived. On the assurance of the CO to arrest the murderer soon, the villagers calmed down and the body could be sent for postmortem. The reasons for the incident could not be ascertained in the initial police investigation. At the time of writing the news, the police force remained in the village.
