IMD Rainfall, Weather Update: Rain continues across the country but the clouds of crisis have now darkened even more in the sky of Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch. According to the information given by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), a heavy rain alert has been issued in these areas. Torrential rain is also expected in many parts of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. At the same time, rain has already wreaked havoc in many areas of Rajasthan and this situation may become even more serious in the coming days. There are chances of heavy rain in West Bengal in the next two days.
The danger of rain increased again in Gujarat
The rain continues in different states across the country, but clouds of crisis are looming over the skies of Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch, where the threat of heavy rain has once again increased. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of extremely heavy rains in Gujarat region, Saurashtra and Kutch, western Madhya Pradesh, and south-east Rajasthan in a press release issued on 3 September 2024.
According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area is currently active in the western parts of the Vidarbha region, causing rain in these areas. Along with this, there is also a possibility of heavy rain due to cyclonic circulation in Saurashtra and surrounding areas. Along with Gujarat, heavy rains are also expected in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka and Telangana.
The next two days will be heavy for West Bengal
A new low pressure area is likely to form in the west-central and west-north Bay of Bengal in the coming days, which may increase the intensity of rain. According to the Meteorological Department, a fresh pressure area will form over the west-central and north-west Bay of Bengal on Thursday. At the same time, heavy rains are expected in North Bengal on Wednesday and Thursday. The weather will also change in South Bengal from Wednesday. By the end of the week, rain will increase in the districts of South Bengal including the capital of West Bengal, Kolkata.
How will be the weather of Uttar Pradesh
Talking about UP, according to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in many districts on September 3, 2024. Districts like Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Meerut, Ballia, Ghazipur, Noida, Ghaziabad, Jaunpur and Rampur may receive light to moderate rain. However, the intensity of rain is expected to increase from September 4. Heavy rains may occur in 5-6 districts on September 4 and 5, while an alert for extremely heavy rain has been issued on September 6 and 7.
It will rain in Rajasthan too
In Rajasthan, heavy rain was recorded at many places in Udaipur, Dungarpur and Banswara districts in the last 24 hours. According to the weather center, monsoon is expected to remain active in the state this week. In the last 24 hours, rain accompanied by thunder occurred at some places in western Rajasthan and many places in eastern Rajasthan. During this, heavy rain was recorded at some places in Udaipur, Dungarpur and Banswara districts. The highest rainfall of 115 mm was recorded in Bhungra, Banswara.
