Controversy over Emergency, Khalistan supporters angry over Kangana Ranaut’s film; demand to ban its release

Kangana Ranaut Movie Emergency: Bollywood actress and BJP MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film Emergency has been surrounded by controversies. Expressing objection to the scenes of this film based on the Emergency period of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Punjab’s pro-Khalistan MP Sarbjit Singh Khalsa has written a letter to the central government demanding a ban on the release of this film.

‘This film is a conspiracy’

MP from Faridkot, Sarbjit Singh Khalsa, has said in the letter that there are reports of Sikhs being portrayed in a wrong way in the film Emergency. There is a fear of law and order situation deteriorating in the society due to this. If Sikhs have been portrayed as separatists or terrorists in the film, then it is a conspiracy. This film is a psychological attack on which the government should pay attention in advance and stop inciting hatred against Sikhs in other countries.

The film will spread hatred against Sikhs: MP

MP Sarbjit Khalsa has said that news of hate attacks on Sikhs keep coming in the country, in such a situation this film will work to spread hatred towards Sikhs. Sikhs have made huge sacrifices for this country, which have not been fully revealed through films. But every possible effort is being made to defame Sikhs. This film is also a part of the same conspiracy.

Kangana will be seen in the role of Indira Gandhi

Kangana Ranaut recently launched the trailer of the film Emergency on her social media. The film is going to be released in theatres on 6 September. She will be seen in the role of Indira Gandhi in this film. This film is the story of the Emergency period from 1975 to 1977. It is clear from the trailer that this film is based on the Emergency imposed by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The period of terrorism has also been shown in the film.

It also shows Jarnail Singh Bhindranwala, who is seen as a saint by Khalistani supporters while the Indian government declared him a terrorist. The film also features Operation Blue Star, which was carried out to eliminate Bhindranwala. Apart from Kangana Ranaut, the film also stars Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade and many other stars.
