The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has geared up for preparations for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. Party leaders said the Delhi BJP will hold its extended executive meeting on Sunday to discuss its strategy for next year’s Delhi Assembly elections.

A party leader said that more than 2,000 people, including Delhi Pradesh BJP members and district and ward level officials, will attend the meeting to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. He said that the focus of the meeting will be on preparations for the assembly elections to be held in 2025 and other issues will also be discussed.

The BJP has not won any assembly election in Delhi for more than two decades. At the same time, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is in power in Delhi after winning the elections with a huge majority for two consecutive times in 2015 and 2020.

Citing the BJP’s victory in all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi in the recent general elections, party leaders expressed hope that the party will perform well in the assembly elections this time too. Party leaders said that senior BJP leader and Union Minister Piyush Goyal will address the meeting.

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said that several political resolutions will be passed in the meeting. He said that apart from thanking the people of Delhi and party leaders and workers for the BJP’s massive victory in the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi, the meeting will also discuss the upcoming assembly elections. Sachdeva said that the number of members participating in the meeting is high because it is an extended executive committee meeting.

The Delhi BJP executive committee has over 300 members, including current and former party office bearers, elected representatives and other senior leaders.

Let us tell you that BJP has 8 MLAs in the 70-member Delhi Assembly, while Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP has 61 MLAs. Patel Nagar MLA Raj Kumar Anand was disqualified after he left AAP and contested the Lok Sabha elections on a BSP ticket.
