delhi ex-AAP councillor switches back from BJP Kejriwal came in my dream and scolded me, claims councillor who returned to AAP after just 4 days, NCR News

Ram Chandra, one of the five AAP councillors who quit the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and joined the BJP earlier this week in the capital Delhi, has returned to the party. Ward number 28 councillor Ram Chandra is a former MLA from Bawana assembly constituency. Four days after switching parties and joining the BJP, councillor Ram Chandra returned to AAP and alleged that he was “misled”. Former AAP MLA Ram Chandra is currently a councillor from Shahbad Dairy area of Narela zone. He rejoined AAP on Thursday after meeting senior party leaders like Manish Sisodia.

After meeting Sisodia, he said, “I had taken a wrong decision, but I have returned to my family again. Last night Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal came to me in my dream and scolded me and said Ram Chandra get up and meet Manish Sisodia, Gopal Rai, Sandeep Pathak and all the leaders and work with them. So I will never stay away from Aam Aadmi Party because of the Chief Minister’s words. I take an oath today that the way I was misled by some people, I will never come under their influence again in the future.”

Meanwhile, former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said in a post on ‘X’, “Met old Aam Aadmi Party colleague, former MLA of Bawana Assembly and current councilor colleague Ram Chandra ji. Today he is back to his Aam Aadmi family.”

Ram Chandra’s return to AAP is part of efforts by both AAP and BJP to garner support of maximum councillors ahead of the regional ward committee elections, which will also decide the fate of the standing committee.

Based on the current members, the BJP still leads in seven constituencies, while the AAP leads in five. Of course, anti-defection laws do not apply in these elections and voting is done through secret ballot.
