Nitish Lalu Meeting Fact Check: Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal United (JDU) President Nitish Kumar did not go to former Chief Minister Rabri Devi’s residence to meet Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President and former CM Lalu Yadav on Thursday (September 5, 2024). The video of the meeting held two years ago on September 5, 2022 in the presence of Tejashwi Yadav is now being posted on social media claiming that something is going to happen in Bihar. Incidentally, the real meeting took place on September 5, 2022 and the fake claim of the meeting has been made on September 5, 2024. On Tuesday, Tejashwi Yadav met Nitish in the CM office as the leader of the opposition in a formal meeting called to decide the names of the Information Commissioners. Since then, the speculators have got new work.
On social media site X, a man named Shailendra Yadav, who claims to be a journalist and socialist, published a video of the 2022 meeting at 8.47 pm on Thursday evening and wrote misleadingly- “The chances of a Khela in Bihar are increasing. Today I went to meet Nitish Kumar ji and Lalu Yadav ji at their residence. This is the second meeting of Nitish ji and Tejashwi ji within 3-4 days.” Shailendra Yadav’s claim is not only fake, but what he has written in Hindi in the tweet is terribly wrong in terms of Hindi.
In national politics, there is no consensus between the parties of the socialist stream included in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leading the government on issues like caste census, Waqf Board Amendment Bill, creamy layer in SC-ST reservation. Along with Nitish, Lalu is constantly trying to bring Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan to his side. In such a situation, when the CM and the Leader of the Opposition formally met, the people cooking Khichdi immediately put the pot of Khela Hoga on the stove.
conclusion– It is clear from the fact check that the video of Nitish and Lalu’s meeting being circulated on social media through Shailendra Yadav is actually from 5 September 2022, not 2024. For proof, a photo tweeted on 5 September 2022 and a video tweeted on 7 September 2022 are attached below, by looking at which you can understand that an attempt has been made to create sensation by calling the 2022 video as 2024.
