DNA samples of Mohammad Moeed Khan and Raju, accused of gangraping a minor in Ayodhya, were taken on Thursday. The team reached the jail to collect the samples. A day before, the doctors had successfully aborted the victim. DNA samples of her foetus have also been taken. Now both the samples will be matched.
Earlier, the investigating officer Devendra Singh had sought permission from the court to take blood samples of both the accused in jail for DNA. The action was taken as soon as permission was received from there. Moeed Khan, the accused of raping the victim, is the president of Bhadarsha Nagar of SP. In such a situation, SP openly came in his support. SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav had demanded DNA testing in the case.
On Thursday, DNA samples of the accused were taken by reaching the jail in the presence of the investigator. Special Public Prosecutor POCSO Vinod Upadhyay said that the investigator had sought permission from the court to take blood samples. An appeal was made to the Special Judge POCSO Act I regarding this. After this, the court granted him permission. CMO Dr. Sanjay Jain said that along with the fetus of the gangrape victim, DNA samples of the accused have also been taken.

Targeting SP, CM Yogi also informed about the case in the assembly.
