Auspicious time for worshiping weapons, Aparajita and Shami on Dussehra- According to Drik Panchang, on Dussehra, the Vijay Muhurta for Shastra Pujan, Aparajita Pujan and Shami Pujan will be from 02:02 PM to 02:48 PM. The total duration of the puja is 46 minutes. The time of afternoon puja is from 01:16 pm to 03:35 pm. The total duration of afternoon puja is 02 hours 19 minutes.

Dussehra worship method-
1. First of all, spread a clean red colored cloth on a stool.
2. Install the idol of Lord Ram and Mother Durga in it.
3. Now color the rice yellow with turmeric and install Shri Ganesh in the form of Swastika.
4. Now establish the nine planets.
5. Offer fruits, flowers, sweets etc. to God.
6. Donate to any poor or needy person as per your capacity.
Importance of Dussehra- There are two popular stories regarding the festival of Dussehra. According to the first story, Lord Shri Ram killed Ravana on the tenth day of Ashwin Shukla Paksha. The festival of Diwali is celebrated exactly 20 days after Dussehra. According to another legend, Mother Durga had killed the demon Mahishasura on this day. Since then the tradition of celebrating the festival of Vijayadashami has been going on.
