Noida police arrested 4 criminals after an encounter. Cash and several weapons were also recovered from them. Police officials said that four criminals were arrested in Noida after a brief encounter with policemen on Friday night. The officer said that two criminals were injured in the firing.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Hardesh Katheria said that a team of Sector 142 police station was checking vehicles. At that time a car was coming. When the police team signaled the car to stop, instead of stopping the car, the people sitting inside it allegedly opened fire on the police team and tried to run away.
According to Katheria, in retaliation, the police team also opened fire, in which two miscreants Deepak Kumar and Kanoj alias Shaka were injured. After that the police chased the car and arrested two other miscreants Sachin and Ajit. However, one of their companions managed to escape. Raids are being conducted to catch him.
The police officer said that during interrogation of the criminals, the police came to know that on August 11, these criminals had raided a farmer’s house in Mohiyapur village and looted lakhs of rupees. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police said that Rs 1.21 lakh cash, a pistol, three guns and cartridges have been recovered from the criminals. The criminals’ car has also been seized. He said that the criminals have confessed to committing several robberies.
