IMD Rainfall Alert, Weather Update: With the departure of monsoon, some states are receiving the last round of rain. The Meteorological Department has said that heavy rains are expected in three states i.e. Tamil Nadu, northern interior Karnataka and coastal Andhra Pradesh on September 21. Apart from this, a low pressure area is going to form in the North West and Bay of Bengal on September 23.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is an alert of heavy rain in Vidarbha between 23-27 September, Chhattisgarh between 23-26 September, Madhya Pradesh between 24-27 September. Apart from this, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura will receive heavy rains for the next seven days, while Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya may receive heavy rains on 23-27 September, Bihar on 23-25 September, Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 23 September, West Bengal and Sikkim on 25 September. At the same time, hot and humid weather is expected in Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim between 21 and 22 September, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura between 21-23 September.
Talking about North India, except for western Rajasthan, light rain is expected in other places. Apart from this, heavy rain is expected in Marathwada areas between 23 and 24 September, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa between 24-27 September, Gujarat between 25-27 September.
For South India, the weather department has forecast that Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal will receive heavy rains on September 21, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam on September 21-23, North Interior Karnataka on September 21-24, Telangana from September 21 and 23 to September 25, South Interior Karnataka on September 22 and 23, Rayalaseema on September 24 and 25. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe will have above average maximum temperatures during the next three days.
