Google Pixel 9 Series Could Get Ultrasonic In-Display Fingerprint Sensor

American technology company Google’s Pixel 9 series will be launched next month. It can replace the Pixel 8 series. Apart from the base and Pro models, the company’s Pixel 9 series can also include Pro XL. Information about these smartphones has been received from some leaks.

Android Authority’s Report It has been told that the Pixel 9 series can have an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. This report says that it can be Qualcomm’s 3D Sonic Gen 2 sensor. This sensor has also been used in Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra. The ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor is claimed to be faster and more accurate than the optical sensor. However, this report does not tell which models of Google’s new smartphone series will have ultrasonic in-display.

Pixel 9 series may have Tensor G4 as the processor. The base model of this series can have a 6.24 inch AMOLED screen. Pixel 8 Pro can have a 6.34 inch and Pro XL variant can have a 6.73 inch AMOLED screen. Recently an image of the base model Pixel 9 of this series has been leaked. In this, this smartphone was in pink color with a pill shaped rear camera module. Recently a media report had told that the manufacturing of Google’s Pixel 8 will be started in the country soon. This smartphone was launched in October last year. Usually, the company’s smartphones are manufactured in China and Vietnam. The first batch of this smartphone made in the country may be available for sale in September.

In this report, citing sources aware of the company’s plans, it has been told that Dixon Technologies will manufacture this smartphone. Trials have been started for this. Last year, Google said that it plans to manufacture the Pixel 8 series in the country. There is a plan to manufacture one lakh units of these smartphones per month in the country. Pixel 8 has a 6.2-inch FHD + OLED display, which has a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz.
