Google has released its latest operating system Android 15 for smartphones. It was in beta testing for several months. In a blog post, Android announced that its source code has also been made available on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). This means that smartphone makers can create and port a custom variant of this operating system (OS) for their devices. Google has also confirmed that the rollout of Android 15 will begin in the coming weeks. It will first come to Google’s in-house Google Pixel smartphone.

With this, developers can improve the performance of any app. APIs for ApplicationStartInfo, PdfRenderer, OpenJDK and SQLite have also been provided in it. Users will get ways to save split-skin apps, talkback support for Braille display, etc. in the new Android. With the help of the new Android, users will be able to adjust the loudness of the audio in their device. They will be able to control HDR headroom. New fonts will also be seen in typing.
