US short seller firm Hindenburg Research has once again made a new claim in the case related to Adani Group. According to this claim, SEBI Chairperson Madhavi Buch and her husband had stakes in both the obscure offshore funds used in the Adani Money Siphoning Scandal.
Disclosure on Adani Group in January 2023
Hindenburg published a report on January 24, 2023 accusing the Adani Group of stock manipulation and auditing fraud and termed it the ‘biggest scam in corporate history’. The report came ahead of the proposed Rs 20,000 crore share sale by the group’s flagship company Adani Enterprises. After this report, the shares of the Adani Group collapsed badly. Due to this, Gautam Adani’s personal wealth and ranking also fell sharply.
