Huge crowd at Banke Bihari temple, a devotee from Haryana died due to suffocation

A day before Raksha Bandhan, a huge crowd of devotees gathered at Thakur Banke Bihari temple in Vrindavan. Due to the pressure of the crowd in the temple, people started suffocating. A devotee fell unconscious on the ground in the temple. He was unable to breathe. The devotee was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Raksha Bandhan is celebrated on Monday. A day before this, hundreds of devotees had reached the temple to have darshan of Thakur Banke Bihari Maharaj. 68-year-old Manchand son of Gondi Ram, a resident of Shahbad village in Kurukshetra, Haryana, had also come to the temple with his acquaintances to have darshan of Thakur Banke Bihari Maharaj. Due to the large crowd inside the temple, he started having trouble breathing. Suddenly, he fell unconscious on the ground. The security personnel took him to the doctors present at the temple, from where he was referred to the 100-bed hospital. Pawan Kumar Sharma and the policemen who had accompanied Manchand took him to the hospital at around 10:30 am through the ambulance present at the temple. The doctors declared him dead after examination. According to the doctors, prima facie, the death may have been due to a heart attack.

10 days ago the health of six devotees had deteriorated

There have been reports of people fainting in Thakur Bankebihari Maharaj temple in Vrindavan many times before. Due to the arrival of more people than required, the pressure in the temple decreases due to which people faint. A similar incident came to light 10 days ago. On the eve of Hariyali Teej, the health of six devotees deteriorated in the crowd. Devotees fainted due to not being able to bear the pressure of the crowd inside and outside the temple, who were given treatment. The devotees started arriving from Tuesday to have darshan of Bihariji on Hariyali Teej.
