A case has come to light in Ghaziabad where a youth from Meerut married a Hindu girl by pretending to convert himself and later got the child circumcised and named him according to his religion. On the complaint of the girl’s mother, the police have registered a case of fraud and religious conversion against the accused.
A woman from Bhubaneswar, Odisha has filed a report saying that her daughter is being harassed by a person named Abdurrahman after trapping her in love jihad. Her daughter lived in Noida Sector-71. There she came in contact with a person named Abdurrahman. He trapped her daughter in love jihad. In the year 2018, Abdurrahman brought her daughter to Ghaziabad and pretended to convert his religion with the intention of deceiving her.
He converted his religion in a single day through Arya Samaj Mandir and Hindu Mahasabha and got his marriage registered with their daughter. Whereas under Hindu Special Marriage Act, if a boy and a girl of two religions get married, it is mandatory to inform the parents of both, but this was not done. The woman says that she and her husband lodged an FIR in Ghaziabad regarding fake marriage by deceiving their daughter, but the police filed a final report and closed the case.
Son got circumcised under Islam
The woman says that her daughter gave birth to a son in the year 2021. Despite converting to Islam, Abdur Rahman got his son circumcised according to Islam and named him Ali. This shows that Abdur Rahman is involved in some conspiracy. According to the woman, Abdur Rahman and his daughter are now living in Meerut. He is performing all his religious rituals there under Islam.
When he did not fall into the trap, he was burnt and crippled
The woman says that her daughter is very intelligent in studies and extremely beautiful. Abdur Rahman initially tried to trap her, but she did not fall into his trap. Due to which, on 17 November 2017, Abdur Rahman burnt the daughter in her own flat. On receiving the information four days after the incident, she admitted the daughter to Delhi. Her daughter was 28 percent burnt. The daughter had given a statement to the police that she was burnt after being made unconscious, but despite this the police did not take any action. Abdur Rahman did this so that her daughter could not marry anyone else.
Case registered after complaint to Chief Minister
The woman says that her daughter has been trapped in love jihad by Abdurrahman. The woman alleges that she complained to the police administrative officials but no action was taken. Tired of this, she had to appeal to the Chief Minister, only then the case was registered. DCP City Rajesh Kumar says that on the basis of the woman’s complaint, a case has been registered against Abdurrahman, resident of Shahjahanpur Mohalla Rangrejan Mawana Meerut, under fraud and Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act and further action is being taken.
