If you ask for Sharia, give me iron rods; After the bulldozer action, Giriraj Singh taunted and said- take more stones

After the attack on the police station in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, the police took strict action. The police have registered an FIR against 150 miscreants and arrested several dozen people. A bulldozer was also run on the palatial house of the main accused former Sadar Shahzad Ali. Now Modi government minister and Bihar’s big BJP leader Giriraj Singh has taken a dig at the bulldozer action. He said that the government has arranged more stones for the stone pelters.

Giriraj Singh, who is often in the headlines for his sharp statements, shared the pictures of bulldozers being used on Shahzad Ali’s houses and wrote on Instagram, ‘The government has arranged for more stones for the stone pelters. Lots of stones, only stones.’ It is being told that the cost of this house of Shahzad Ali was more than Rs 5 crore. Shahzad Ali is accused of inciting people. Many policemen including the police station in-charge were injured in the stone pelting.

Many people made different comments on Giriraj Singh’s post. Giriraj Singh liked the response of one user and he reiterated his statement with a screenshot. The BJP leader wrote, ‘Someone said – If they want Sharia, give them Sharia as long as they follow Indian law.’ While some users called this action illegal according to the Constitution, another user wrote, ‘They want Sharia, we are giving them Sharia.’

Hundreds of people from the Muslim community had reached Chhatarpur’s Kotwali police station on the afternoon of August 21 with a memorandum. They wanted to register an FIR in connection with the controversial remarks allegedly made on Prophet Mohammad Saheb in Maharashtra. The crowd led by city Sadar Javed Ali and former Sadar Shahzad Ali suddenly turned violent and started pelting stones at the police station.
