Terrorists suddenly attacked the Indian Army convoy in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. After the firing by terrorists, our soldiers also retaliated. Just two days ago, there were two encounters between terrorists and soldiers in Kulgam district. During this, a total of 8 terrorists were killed. Lance Naik Pradeep Kumar of the Elite Para Unit and Sepoy Praveen Janjal Prabhakar of the National Rifles Battalion were martyred in the encounters in Modergam and Chinnigam villages. Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police RR Swain said that the killing of terrorists is a big milestone for the security forces, as it will strengthen the security environment. These successful operations are very meaningful for strengthening security. These operations also give the message that people do not want more bloodshed due to terrorism.
Cross border tunnel suspected to be present under a field in Kathua
A few days ago, security personnel launched a search operation after a man in a village near the international border in Kathua district raised suspicion of a cross-border tunnel under his field. Officials said BSF personnel along with local police are digging at the spot to find out if a tunnel exists. A farmer from Thangli village in Hiranagar belt noticed that water coming to his field was going into a small ditch. He thought it could be a cross-border tunnel. The villager said he informed the police and the BSF, following which the police reached the spot with bulldozers and carried out extensive digging but they found nothing.
