Officials said BSF personnel along with local police are digging at the spot to find out if a tunnel exists. A farmer from Thangli village in Hiranagar belt noticed that water coming to his field was going into a small ditch. He thought it could be a cross-border tunnel. The villager said he informed the police and the BSF, following which the police reached the spot with bulldozers and carried out extensive digging but they found nothing.
