iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max specifications

The new iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max ship with iOS 18. The iPhone 16 Pro has a 6.3-inch, while the 16 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display. Both have similar display features, including a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness levels up to 2,000 nits. Both displays come equipped with Apple’s Ceramic Shield protection. These include Apple’s latest and top-of-the-line A18 Pro, a chip built on a 3nm process. The company says that this chip is xx percent more powerful than the previous A17 Pro. Apple Intelligence features will also be available in these.

Both Pro models come with a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 48-megapixel main Fusion camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with quad pixel sensor, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle ‘tetraprism’ periscope lens. The camera system supports 5x optical zoom. On the front, there is a 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera with f/1.9 aperture.

There is also a brand new capture button along with the action button. As the name suggests, the new button is used to quickly launch the camera. With a single push, it opens the camera app. Inside the app, a single push of the button can capture photos and a long press can record videos. This is a touch sensitive button, in which camera details are visible with a light touch and scenes and pre-sets can be changed by sliding.

In addition, this year’s Pro series can record 4K video at 120fps, providing better slow-mo quality. The A18 Pro chip’s new image signal processor also allows frame-by-frame editing in Dolby Vision. For high-quality audio recording, the Pro models include four “studio-quality” mics, which are said to be great for vocals and sound recording. The iPhone 16 Pro will also support spatial audio recording.

The RAM and battery capacity of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max have not been revealed. Both get a USB 3.0 Type-C port. They can be charged at 27W with the charger that comes in the box or at 15W via MagSafe or Qi2-compatible wireless charging adapters. Both are rated IP68 for dust and water resistance.
