Prime Minister Narendra Modi today started the election campaign in Jammu Kashmir. PM Modi addressed an election rally in Doda. PM Modi said that the political parties you chose, they promoted their families, not you. While the people here kept getting crushed in the mill of terrorism. PM Modi said that together we and you will build a safe Jammu Kashmir. PM Modi said that this assembly election will decide the fate of Jammu Kashmir.

PM Modi said that Jammu Kashmir has been suffering because of these three families. He said that this assembly election is between three families and the youth of Jammu. PM Modi said that one family is of Congress, the second family is of National Conference and the third family is of PDP. These three families are responsible for the destruction of Jammu Kashmir for decades. PM Modi said that these three families encouraged corruption in Jammu. They encouraged land mafia. He also accused all three parties of encouraging terrorism in Jammu Kashmir.

PM Modi targeted nepotism and said that these people did not allow new leadership to emerge. He said that Panchayat elections were not held here till 2005. BDC elections were not held. For decades, nepotism did not allow the people here to come forward. PM Modi further said that today many development schemes are going on in Jammu and Kashmir. People do not need to go out. PM said that you will also remember the time when an undeclared curfew was imposed here at the end of the day. The situation was such that even the ministers of the Congress government at the Center were afraid of going to Lal Chowk.

The Prime Minister said that terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is now on its last legs. The changes that have come in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 10 years are no less than a dream. The stones that were earlier raised to throw at the police and the army are now being used to build a new Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the BJP will make Jammu a terror-free state.
