Before the upcoming season of IPL, BCCI has made a big announcement for the Indian players. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said on Saturday that all the franchises will allocate Rs 12.60 crore as match fees. He has said that from the next season, Indian players will get a separate Rs 7.5 lakh for every match in addition to the contract. If an Indian player plays the entire season for a franchise, then apart from the contract, the franchise will give him Rs 1.05 crore separately.
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah wrote on Twitter, “Taking a historic step to celebrate consistency and great performances in the IPL, we are thrilled to announce a match fee of Rs 7.5 lakh per match for our cricketers! A cricketer who plays all the league matches in a season will get Rs 1.05 crore in addition to his contracted amount. Each franchise will allocate Rs 12.60 crore as match fees for the season. This is a new era for the IPL and our players.
