IMD Rainfall Alert, UP Rain, Weather Update: Heavy rains are falling these days across the country including North India. Heavy rains from mountains to plains have created problems for the people. Now the Meteorological Department has said that a low pressure area is formed over South Bangladesh, due to which heavy to very heavy rains are going to occur in eastern India during the next three days. Apart from this, there will be very heavy rains in eastern Uttar Pradesh for the next three days. According to the Meteorological Department, the line of monsoon trough is now passing through Bikaner, Sikar, Orai, Sidhi, Ranchi.

Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep will also receive heavy to very heavy rainfall for the next two days. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal will receive very heavy rainfall on August 19. Apart from this, heavy rainfall warning has been issued for Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura on August 18-19. Regarding Uttarakhand, the Meteorological Department has said that there will be very heavy rainfall at different places on August 20 and 21.

An alert of very heavy rain has been issued in Jharkhand on 19 and 20 August. At the same time, Kerala and Mahe are going to receive very heavy rain on 19 and 20 August. Talking about Uttar Pradesh, a warning of very heavy rain has been issued at different places in eastern UP from 18-20 August. Heavy rain is also going to continue in Gangetic West Bengal during this period. There is an alert of very heavy rain for 21 and 22 August in Bihar.

Drizzle expected in Delhi

The minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius on Sunday morning. The Meteorological Department has forecast mainly cloudy sky and light rain in the city today. The department said that the relative humidity level in Delhi was 85 percent at 8.30 am. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the overall air quality index (AQI) in the national capital was recorded at 88 at 9 am, which falls in the ‘satisfactory’ category. AQI between zero to 50 is considered ‘good’, between 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, between 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, between 201 to 300 ‘poor’, between 301 to 400 ‘very poor’ and between 401 to 500 ‘severe’.
