BJP says that Mehbooba is shedding crocodile tears today on the death of Hezbollah chief. But the same Mehbooba Mufti remained silent last month when atrocities were being committed against Hindus in Bangladesh.
BJP has attacked Mehbooba Mufti for canceling the election campaign over the death of Hezbollah chief Nasrallah. On behalf of BJP, it was said that today Mehbooba is shedding crocodile tears over the death of Hezbollah chief in Lebanon, but the same Mehbooba Mufti was sitting silent last month when atrocities were being committed against Hindus in Bangladesh. In fact, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti had canceled her election campaign on Sunday in solidarity with the martyrs of Lebanon and Gaza, especially Hassan Nasrallah.
Taking aim at Mehbooba, BJP leader Kavinder Gupta said that Mufti’s sympathy towards Nasrallah is just a show. She is only shedding crocodile tears for him. He said that Mehbooba Mufti is speaking on this matter only for votes. If they were so worried then where had their humanity gone when Hindus were being attacked in Bangladesh last month. Gupta said why does Mehbooba Mufti feel sad due to the death of Hasan Nasrullah? When Hindus are attacked and killed in Bangladesh, they maintain silence. Today, when a Hezbollah commander is killed, she cancels election campaigning for a day. These are crocodile tears and people understand. The intention behind this. Such a conspiracy will do nothing, we should talk on the basis of humanity.
Earlier, BJP leader Altaf Thakur had also attacked Mufti on this issue and said that she was only doing appeasement politics. She is playing religious card and election stunt. He said that there should be no war anywhere in the world. But Mehbooba Mufti also wants to use the war happening in some corner of the world to her advantage.
Earlier on Saturday, PDP chief and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti had decided to cancel her election campaign scheduled for Sunday. Mehbooba Mufti wrote in a post on social media platform X that she is canceling her campaign tomorrow in solidarity with the martyrs of Lebanon and Gaza, especially Hassan Nasrullah. We stand with the people of Palestine and Lebanon in this time of great sorrow and struggle.
Hezbollah chief was killed in Israeli air strikes in Beirut, Lebanon. People had also demonstrated on the streets in Jammu and Kashmir regarding this attack.
