Meta Edits Announced New Video Editing App With Advance Tools Camera for iOS Android Available on March

Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri announced Meta’s upcoming video editing app Edits, which will launch for Android and iOS in March. He described the app as “a full suite of creative tools” in his video. Edits will include features like a high-quality camera, a separate tab for inspiration, tools to track ideas, advanced editing options, and draft-sharing capabilities. The app will also show insights for videos shared on Instagram. Pre-orders are open for it on Apple App Store, soon it will also be available on Google Play. Meta appears to be trying to take advantage of the recent potential US ban of TikTok and the temporary removal of ByteDance’s Capcut from its app store on January 19.

Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri shared a video on Sunday night, announcing that Meta will soon launch a new video editing app called Edits. In this, Mosseri also threw light on many features of the upcoming app and told that the app will be available for both Android and iOS devices. Mosseri shared the video on Threads. He said that Edits will have many more features available than traditional video editing apps, which makes it stand out from the crowd. From the features mentioned by them, it appears that it will be a platform similar to ByteDance’s Capcut.

Mosseri said in his video that it is a complete suite of creative tools. It will have a tool to track ideas as well as a separate tab for inspiration. It will give users advanced editing options and will also be equipped with draft-sharing capabilities. Not only this, users will be able to use the integrated camera app in it, which has been described as a “very high quality camera”.

Mosseri says the app is already available for pre-order on the Apple App Store and it will soon be available on the Google Play store for Android devices. The Edits app will reportedly be available sometime in the month of March. “The app won’t be available to download until next month and in the meantime we’re going to work with some video creators to get their feedback and improve the experience,” Mosseri said.
