WHYLAB, a tipster from China, in a post on Weibo claimed It is being said that Motorola may launch a smartphone model named Moto S50 Neo as a smaller screen version of the Motorola Edge 50 smartphone. The Edge 50 was launched in India earlier this month. The post also gives information about some specifications of the upcoming phone, according to which, the phone will get Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Enhanced Edition, which will be paired with LPDDRX RAM and UFS2.2 storage.
It is claimed that the Moto S50 Neo will get a 6.36-inch (2670×1200 pixels) OLED hyperbolic screen, which will support 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate and local peak brightness up to 1600nits. It is also said that the display will support 10 bit color depth, HDR 10+, Dolby Atmos, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protective glass.
At the same time, if the tipster is to be believed, this Motorola smartphone will have a triple rear camera system with a 32-megapixel front camera and an OIS-supported 50-megapixel Sony LYT-700 main rear sensor, which will include a 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens and a 10-megapixel telephoto (3x) lens.
It is further said that the phone will have a battery of 4,310mAh capacity, which supports 68W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The thickness of the phone can be 7.79 mm and its weight can be 172 grams. It can be launched in Jungle Green, Soft Peach and Koala Gray color options. The phone is likely to get a metal middle frame build. It can get IP68 rating and will also get MIL SPEC 810H certification. Tipster says that Moto S50 Neo will get dual speakers and dual microphones, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and Wi-Fi 6e support.
