Two and a half years after inducting Mulayam Singh Yadav’s daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav into the party, BJP has given her a big responsibility. Aparna has been made the vice-president of the UP Women’s Commission. Aparna joined BJP just before the assembly elections in 2022. Then there was a possibility of her getting a BJP ticket but it did not happen. After this, there were many occasions when there was talk of Aparna becoming an MLC or contesting the by-election. She could not get any responsibility even in the party’s organization. Once or twice there were talks of fielding her against Dimple and Akhilesh Yadav, but BJP never gave Aparna any chance. Now after the defeat of BJP in the Lok Sabha elections and the big success of SP, Aparna has been given a post.
The notification of appointing Aparna as the Vice President of UP Women’s Commission was issued on Tuesday evening. According to the notification issued by the Women’s Welfare Section, Governor Anandben Patel has appointed Babita Chauhan of Agra as the President. Along with Aparna, Charu Chaudhary of Gorakhpur has been appointed as the Vice President of the Women’s Commission.
As soon as SP government is formed in 2027, bulldozers will head towards Gorakhpur: Akhilesh Yadav
Aparna Yadav is the wife of Prateek Yadav, son of Mulayam’s second wife Sadhna Yadav. Aparna and Prateek Yadav had a love marriage after meeting each other during school days. Aparna was fielded by Akhilesh Yadav from Lucknow Cantt on a Samajwadi Party ticket in the 2017 assembly elections. However, she was defeated by BJP’s Rita Bahuguna Joshi.
Just before the next elections i.e. 2022, Aparna suddenly decided to leave SP and join BJP. It was then believed that BJP may give her a chance again from Lucknow Cantt. But since then, Aparna has not been given any chance anywhere. She also campaigned for BJP but stayed away from campaigning against Dimple and Akhilesh. Now once again SP has become powerful in UP, so many meanings are being drawn from Aparna getting a chance in BJP.
