The option of filters and backgrounds is being given for video calling in the popular messaging platform WhatsApp. With their help, users will be able to look beautiful while calling.
Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is used by millions of users around the world and has a large userbase in India. With its help, apart from chatting and file sharing, video calling can also be done easily. Now users are being given the option to apply filters or change their background during video calling. This way you will be able to look beautiful during a video call.
The platform had already made these filters a part of its app’s camera user interface and now access to them is being given during video calling as well. If users tap on the camera icon after opening WhatsApp, they will get the option to use these filters. Apart from this, during video calling, a new icon like a ‘magic wand’ has started appearing in the window, through which new features can be used.
Users will look beautiful with filters
After tapping on the new icon, users will get the option to apply filters. Filters can be changed one after the other by swiping right. The list of these features includes Warm, Cool, B&W, Light Leak, Dreamy, Prism light, Fisheye, Vintage TV, Frosted glass and duo tone. Apart from this, if you are calling in low-light, then the level of light can also be increased with low-light mode.
Will be able to change video call background
In many conferencing apps, users are given the option to change their background and now a similar option is available in WhatsApp also. There will be an option to apply new background during video calling. The list of these backgrounds includes Blur, Living room, Office, Cafe, Pebbles, Foodie, Smoosh, Beach, Sunset, Celebration and Forest etc. New filters and backgrounds can also be applied together.
Currently, the new feature has been made a part of WhatsApp Beta for Android version 2.24.20.20 and everyone will start getting its benefits in the next few weeks.
