Ola Electric bBecomes First Indian Crand to Sell 4 lakh EVs in A Year

Ola Electric, one of the big electric two-wheeler companies, has been facing difficulties for the last few months due to shortcomings in service. However, it has become the first company in the electric vehicles (EV) market to sell four lakh units in a calendar year.

According to a media report. this years Ola Electric Sales are around 4,00,099 units. This is an increase of approximately 50 percent compared to last year. This company was started about three years ago. Its total sales have exceeded 7,75,000 units. The company has more than 30 percent share in the market of electric two-wheelers. The company’s sales declined by approximately 33 percent in November. According to vehicle portal data, last month the registrations of the company’s electric scooters were 27,746 units. This is a decline of about 33 percent in the sales of Ola Electric on a month-on-month basis. Last month the company launched S1 Z. This electric scooter will be available in two variants.

The company has also made efforts to resolve service related complaints. In this segment, Ola Electric is facing tough competition from competitors like Bajaj Auto. Ola Electric has added a new feature to the Ola HyperService application to provide service status information. The company’s CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal has said that with this, customers will be able to get updates about the service of the electric scooter. The company is preparing to increase its network of stores four times. Ola Electric has around 800 stores. Their number will be increased to about 4,000 by the end of this month. Service facility is also available at the existing stores of the company. The company will increase its network of stores to about 4,000 by the end of December. Ola Electric aims to deliver electric two-wheelers to every pincode in the country.

This will be the largest distribution network of Electric Vehicles (EV) in the country. Recently the company had also expanded its portfolio of electric scooters. Earlier this month, the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) had asked to provide additional documents regarding the notice given to the company on alleged violation of consumer rights and unfair trade practices.
