Bhavish Aggarwal spoke to TOI after the launch of the Ola Electric Roadster lineup about the importance of AI in India. He has also revealed that his AI company Krutrim is working on building India’s first AI silicon chip by 2026. If successful, it will give Ola a chance to compete with companies like Nvidia, AMD and Intel. Ola has announced strategic partnerships with chip design company ARM and Canadian AI company Untether AI to build chips. Krutrim’s initial chips include Bodhi for AI, Sarv for basic computing and Ojas for heavy computing.

Roadster Pro can reach a speed of 0.40 km/h in just 1.2 seconds. Its top speed is around 194 km/h and the range on a single charge is around 579 km. Whereas, the original Roadster can reach a speed of 0-40 km/h in 2.2 seconds. Its top speed is 126 km/h. Its range on a single charge is claimed to be around 579 km.
