Fateh Bahadur Singh, seven-time BJP MLA from Campierganj assembly seat in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, demanding security, citing threat to his life. The MLA has said that a conspiracy to murder him is being hatched by his opponents. As per my knowledge, the opponents have also collected Rs 1 crore as supari for this. He said that the police is involved. Fateh Bahadur said that my father died at the age of 52. I will die at the age of 54. That is why I have brought it to everyone’s notice that I will be able to do politics only if I stay alive.
Talking to Hindustan newspaper, the MLA said that about 11 days ago someone called him on his mobile and told him to move away from where he was. There is a threat to his life. I thought it must be some crazy person. But after this, the opponents started collecting donations for the murder. According to my information, about one crore rupees were collected. After this, the information was given to the state government. But after 10 days, no investigation was done, nor did any police officer call me to get any information. After this, the central leadership has been informed about it. It has been demanded that those who conspired for the murder should be exposed. Let us tell you that Fateh Bahadur Singh is the son of former Chief Minister Veer Bahadur Singh. He has been the Forest Minister in the BSP government.
