PCB is quite disappointed seeing the decreasing craze of cricket in Pakistan. Be it an international match or a Pakistan Super League match…in most of the matches the grounds are half empty. In comparison to Pakistan, whether it is IPL or an international match in India…the grounds are always full. Due to this PCB is also suffering a lot financially. To overcome this problem, the board recently sold the tickets of Pakistan vs Bangladesh test match at very cheap rates, but now it seems that even after selling the tickets at a very low price, PCB is not able to solve this problem. Now the board has taken a surprising decision to call the fans to the stadium.
SA bowed down in front of Pooran’s havoc, played a stormy innings at a strike rate of 250
PCB had fixed the cheapest ticket price for Pakistan vs Bangladesh match at 50 Pakistani Rupees. Which is only 15 rupees in Indian Rupees. Despite this, the number of spectators at the Rawalpindi ground during the first Test was much less than expected. This trick of PCB to call fans to the ground did not work and very few spectators were seen on the ground on the first three days.
Now the PCB has taken a big step and made the tickets free for the last two days of the match. Yes, in recent times you have hardly seen fans getting free entry to the ground in any men’s international match.
This Pakistani became a threat to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s record, is he banned in Tests?
Announcing the free entry, the PCB said, “The decision to offer free entry for days four and five of the Test has been taken to encourage families and students to attend in large numbers during the weekend. Fans can watch the game free of cost from the VIP enclosures (Imran Khan and Javed Miandad) designated for families, as well as premium enclosures (Miran Bakhsh, Shoaib Akhtar, Sohail Tanvir and Yasir Arafat).”
Spectators are required to bring their original CNIC or B-Form to enter the stadium. However, the free entry policy will not apply to tickets purchased for the PCB Gallery or Platinum Box.
The PCB also assured that fans who bought tickets for the last two days will get a refund. For tickets purchased online, the refund will be automatically processed to the credit or debit card used for purchase.
