Paris Olympics: Star shooter Manu Bhaker created history by winning the bronze medal in the 10 meter air pistol event at the Paris Olympics. After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Manu while talking to her on the phone. Also, he mentioned the last Tokyo Olympics, where Manu Bhaker was disappointed due to a defect in the rifle. PM Modi congratulated Manu Bhaker on the phone and said, “You missed the silver by 0.1, but even after this you brought glory to the country. You are getting two types of credit. First, you got the bronze medal and second, you are the first woman to win a medal in shooting. Many congratulations from my side.”
PM Modi further told shooter Manu Bhaker, “The rifle failed you in Tokyo Olympics, but this time you made up for all the shortcomings. On this Manu said that there are more matches ahead, I hope I will do well in them.” On this PM Modi said that I have full faith that you will do well. The Prime Minister also asked the Olympic medalist whether all the other teammates are happy? To which Manu said that everyone is very fine and is saying Namaste to you. The PM said that we have tried that the players get facilities and comfort there. On this Manu said that we have everything right now. All efforts have been successful.
During the phone conversation, Prime Minister Modi said that your hard work is going to pay off. He also asked if she has talked to her family, to which Manu replied that she will do it when she goes to her room in the evening. The PM said that your father will be very happy because he has encouraged you a lot. To this, Manu said that yes, of course, mother, father and brother, everyone will be happy.
