Prasar Bharati set to launch its OTT platform at IFFI november 20 know details

Prasar Bharti will launch its OTT service today at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Like other platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Hotstar, now India’s public service broadcaster Prasar Bharati will also have its own online content streaming platform. Content of Doordarshan and All India Radio can be streamed on the platform. Users will also be given the facility to watch live TV along with archive content on Prasar Bharati.

Preparations to launch Prasar Bharti’s OTT platform were going on for almost a year. Finally now its OTT is going to be launched. of HT Report According to Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwani Vaishnav will launch the OTT platform. Since due to the increasing trend of Internet, now users prefer to watch most of the content on OTT, hence with the arrival of Prasar Bharti’s OTT, its reach will increase to more users.

Prasar Bharati has also partnered with producers like Eros Now and Lionsgate to provide new and engaging content to the users. However, the company has not yet revealed what will be the name of its OTT platform and what will be its logo. According to media reports, Prasar Bharati had secured 5 to 6 domains for the name of its OTT. Now it has to be seen which name emerges here. Along with the logo, Prasar Bharati will also issue an audio ID.

Prasar Bharti’s OTT app will be available on Google Play Store for Android. Along with this, it will also be available for iOS which can be downloaded from the App Store. Apart from this, it can also be downloaded from Prasar Bharati website. This PSU is prepared by RailTel. Content on the platform will be available in standard definition, high definition, and up to 4K. In the initial phase, the company will provide free service in which advertisements will also be visible. Premium subscription plans will be launched in future.
