Team India captain Rohit Sharma and his partner opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal together provided the fun of T20 in Test cricket. Against Bangladesh, at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, both of them together crossed the 50-run mark in just three overs. This is the fastest fifty ever scored by any team since records have existed in Test cricket. India broke England’s world record in this matter. England had scored 50 runs in 4.2 overs against West Indies in the Trent Bridge Test this year, India had broken England’s record by achieving this feat in just three overs.

England is also at third place in terms of scoring the fastest fifty runs by any team in Test cricket, which scored 50 runs in 4.3 overs against South Africa in 1994. The name of England also comes at number four, which had scored 50 runs in 5 overs against Sri Lanka in 2002. Today is the fourth day of the Kanpur Test match and to get the result in this match, both the teams will have to perform some miracles. The manner in which Rohit and Jaiswal came to bat after bowling out Bangladesh for 233 runs made it clear that India wanted nothing less than victory.

India had scored 51 runs in three overs without losing any wicket. Yashasvi was playing after scoring 30 runs on 13 balls while Rohit was playing after scoring 19 runs on 6 balls. However, in the next over, India got a big blow in the form of Rohit, who was bowled by Mehndi Hasan Miraz after scoring 23 runs in 11 balls. Rohit had made his intention very clear by hitting sixes on the first two balls.
