Samsung could delay the launch of Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra

South Korean smartphone maker Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra is unlikely to be launched at the Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday. Earlier it was reported that the company is working on a thinner version of the upcoming Galaxy Z 6 Fold smartphone. It can be brought as an Ultra or Slim model with a bigger screen.

WinFuture’s Report It has been reported that Samsung has postponed the launch of this smartphone. Competition may increase for the company in the foldable segment of smartphones because recently Motorola introduced the Razr 50 Ultra, which will compete with Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6. Apart from this, Honor’s Magic V3 will also be launched in China soon.

Motorola’s Razr 50 Ultra and Honor’s Magic V3 may have a more modern design than the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6. This Motorola smartphone has a larger cover screen, while Honor’s Magic V3 is likely to be the slimmest foldable smartphone. Recently, the foldable smartphone shipment tracker of market research firm Counterpoint showed that Huawei ranked first in the international market of foldable smartphones in the first quarter of this year. It overtook Samsung for the first time. In the first quarter, shipments of Huawei and Honor grew by around 460 percent and 257 percent respectively. Samsung’s shipments declined by 42 percent.

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi’s Mix Fold 4 will also be launched this month. It will replace the Mix Fold 3 introduced in China last year. This book-style foldable smartphone can be introduced along with the company’s first clamshell foldable smartphone Xiaomi Mix Flip. Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip will be manufactured at the company’s smart factory in Changping, Beijing. The capacity of this factory is to manufacture about one crore smartphones annually. The Mix Fold 4 has a larger camera island than the company’s previous smartphone. It has four Leica branded cameras and LED flash. This smartphone can have a 50-megapixel primary camera with Leica Summilux lens.
