There has been a threat of bombing Sri Guru Ramdas International Airport in Amritsar. The police have arrested the accused within 24 hours. He has been identified as Gurdev Singh alias Sabi. He is a resident of Ferozepur. The accused was produced in the court and taken on three-day police remand. During interrogation, the accused has also revealed the names of his two other accomplices. They are currently absconding. The police is searching for his two accomplices. For this, raids are being conducted at various places.
Plant six bombs at the airport and deliver Rs 1 crore
According to the information, a message was sent to the reception counter of Indigo Airlines through an email on the official email of Indigo Airlines that six bombs have been planted at the airport. The threat said that if one crore rupees are not sent to the address mentioned, the airport will be blown up. The police was informed about this. On receiving the information, the police immediately started action. The police searched the airport but no bomb was found. This threat turned out to be fake. Meanwhile, the police registered a case and traced the person who gave the threat and arrested him.
Police reached the accused by tracing the IP address
The police traced the IP address and reached the accused and arrested him. During interrogation, he also revealed the names of two of his associates. Police Commissioner Ranjit Singh Dhillon said that the accused Gurdev was arrested and presented in the court. The court sent the accused to three days of police custody.
