Some other people joined Pooja Khedkar; UPSC opposed the bail, told why arrest was necessary

Pooja Khedkar, who got selected in the IAS exam on the basis of fake documents, had appealed for interim bail in the Delhi High Court, which has been opposed by UPSC. UPSC told the court that Pooja Khedkar should not get bail as it is necessary to take her into custody and interrogate her. Only by doing this will it be known who helped Pooja Khedkar to get selected in the 2022 IAS exam by making fake documents. The institute said that interrogation will have to be done to collect the necessary evidence in this case. Before the hearing on Wednesday, UPSC has filed an affidavit in the court, in which it said that Pooja Khedkar has committed an unexpected fraud.

UPSC said that such fraud is not usually seen. By doing this, the image of the commission has also been affected among the public. In its 16-page affidavit, UPSC said that Pooja Khedkar committed a big fraud. For this, she got wrong documents made. She cheated at many places and made mistakes in everything from disability to caste. Not only this, she even changed her name and the names of her family members. The institute says that it is clear from this entire matter that Pooja Khedkar alone has not committed these frauds. Some other people had helped her in this. Therefore, there is a need to investigate so that information about them can also be found out.

The organization that conducts the recruitment process for the country’s top bureaucracy said that there were many incidents when wrong documents were presented. This is not a coincidence but it shows that some other people helped her in this. If Pooja Khedkar is arrested and questioned, only then the whole matter will come out and other people can be reached. It was said in the affidavit that the way wrong documents were prepared from different organizations, it is not possible without someone’s help. It is important that all these things come to light. Therefore, Pooja Khedkar should not be given anticipatory bail and the way for her arrest should be cleared.
