SpiceJet staffer arrested for slapping CISF man at airport

In a shocking incident that took place at Jaipur airport on Thursday, a female SpiceJet employee slapped a CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) jawan. Following which she was arrested. According to the police, there was a dispute between the two regarding security check, while the airline has called it a serious case of sexual harassment. The video of this incident has also gone viral.

In the CCTV footage of the incident, the CISF officer is seen talking to the female member of the Spice Jet crew. After this, she suddenly takes two steps forward and slaps him on the face. Then a female constable takes her aside.

Aviation company SpiceJet issued a statement on this matter, claiming that inappropriate language was used with their employee and the CISF officer asked her to come and meet him at his home after duty hours. Police had said that Rani worked as a food supervisor, although the airline has described her as a female security staff.

Giving information about this case, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Kavendra Singh Sagar said that this incident happened on Thursday morning at Jaipur airport when the Assistant Sub-Inspector stopped the female crew from entering without security check. He said that when the woman was stopped for security check, an argument broke out between the woman and the CISF personnel and the woman slapped the jawan. The officer said that there were no female personnel at the airport in the morning, due to which a male personnel was deployed for checking.

He said that based on the complaint lodged by the CISF personnel, the accused woman Anuradha Rani was arrested and the matter is being investigated. According to the police, Anuradha had tried to enter the airport through the vehicle gate without security check.
