Bloomberg’s Report The report claims that Tesla has delayed the launch to October to give the engineering team more time to develop and test the Tesla Robotaxi prototype. Originally scheduled to launch on August 8, Tesla employees were initially informed internally about the delay.
Earlier, apart from announcing the launch on August 8, Musk did not give any other information about the robotaxi. At present, the details related to it are also circulating in rumors. It is believed that the design of Tesla Robotaxi may be similar to Cybertruck. In his previous tweet, Musk had said that some of the Robotaxi vehicles will be owned and operated by Tesla itself, while others will be owned by people but will be rented out on Tesla’s network.
At present, there are already many companies like Waymo present on the roads of America, whose autonomous robotaxis have attracted the attention of the people.
Musk is focusing on artificial intelligence, autonomous driving software, robotaxis and a humanoid robot called Optimus to counter a slowdown in EV sales, which generate more than 80% of Tesla’s quarterly revenue. He said in the company’s first quarterly revenue summit call in April that Tesla would introduce “new models” in early 2025 using its existing platforms and production lines.
