Tesla Robotaxi Launch Postpones to October For More Testing Development Time Here’s All Details

Tesla has temporarily delayed the launch of its Robotaxi project, citing the need for more time for prototype development and testing. The technology will now be introduced in October, after being unveiled on August 8. Elon Musk has frequently promoted Tesla Robotaxi, suggesting they could generate revenue for owners through a ridehailing service. Despite these promises, Tesla’s current autopilot and full self-driving systems still require driver assistance and the company faces multiple lawsuits over fatal accidents involving its technology. The company’s upcoming project will compete directly with Waymo’s autonomous robotaxis, which are already spread across every city in the US.

Bloomberg’s Report The report claims that Tesla has delayed the launch to October to give the engineering team more time to develop and test the Tesla Robotaxi prototype. Originally scheduled to launch on August 8, Tesla employees were initially informed internally about the delay.

Earlier, apart from announcing the launch on August 8, Musk did not give any other information about the robotaxi. At present, the details related to it are also circulating in rumors. It is believed that the design of Tesla Robotaxi may be similar to Cybertruck. In his previous tweet, Musk had said that some of the Robotaxi vehicles will be owned and operated by Tesla itself, while others will be owned by people but will be rented out on Tesla’s network.
